Following last year’s successful concert, we were delighted to announce that the Portsmouth Military Wives Choir once again performed, raising funds for the Lifeboat. In April 2017 the Church was a sell out with 150 tickets purchased and raising a staggering £1500+ for the Lifeboat and raising our profile outside of Hamble.
The choir sang tracks from their new album, which was released at the end of June.
The concert took place in St Mary’s church, Warsash on 21st July at 7.30pm. Tickets were £10 per person, available from the Lifeboat station and via our Facebook page.
It was a fantastic evening, with the choir performing a number of songs from their huge repertoire of pop, classics, and songs from the musicals.
This was also crew member Marie’s last concert with her beloved choir and she has now moved on to pastures new.
